What we need from you before we can build

The content, media and logins that keep a project moving — and why the clock pauses when they are missing.

The single biggest reason projects run late is waiting for content. Our clock pauses while we wait on you, which is fair — but it also means the fastest way to launch is to have these ready.

Words

  • The text for each page, or at least bullet points we can polish. Do not agonise over it: rough is fine, we write for a living.
  • Your company details: registered name, address, phone, email, registration number, VAT number if any.
  • Anything legal you already have: terms and conditions, a privacy policy, return rules for a shop.

Pictures and video

  • Your logo, ideally as a vector file (SVG, EPS, AI) or the biggest PNG you have.
  • Photos of the team, the premises, the products — the largest originals, not WhatsApp copies.
  • If you have nothing usable, say so. 1 Stop Media can shoot it, and we can quote that alongside the build.

Logins and access

Only what applies to you:

  • Your domain name — where it is registered and a login, or we can register a new one for you.
  • Your email provider, if the site needs to send from your address.
  • Social media accounts, if we are connecting them.
  • The payment gateway you use (or we will set one up).
  • Any existing system we must connect to — accounting, a booking engine, a CRM.
Warning: Never send passwords over WhatsApp or in a ticket. Ask us and we will tell you the safe way to hand them over, or add us as a user on the service instead.

Things you can leave to us

Hosting, SSL certificates, backups, DNS changes, form emails, analytics, Google Business Profile. If those words mean nothing to you, that is exactly why they are on our list and not yours — there is a plain-English glossary if you are curious.
