Our quotes are built so you can see exactly what you are paying for. Here is how to read one.
Where to find it
Sign in to your portal and open Quotes & invoices. The quote is listed there with its number and status. You can open it on screen or download it as a PDF — the PDF is the same document we emailed you.
The lines
Every item is its own line with its own price. A "Business website" package, for example, is broken into its parts: design, build, copy polish, contact form, and so on. That is deliberate — if you do not need one of them, we take the line off and the total comes down.
There are two kinds of line:
- Once-off — paid once, for building the thing.
- Monthly — paid every month for as long as you keep it: hosting, backups, support hours, a domain renewal. These are marked clearly so a recurring cost never hides inside a build price.
The totals
The once-off total is what the build costs. The monthly total is what it costs to keep running after launch. If VAT applies it is shown as its own row; prices are quoted excluding VAT.
The deposit and the terms
The terms are printed at the bottom of the quote — how much is due to start, when the balance is due, and how long the quote is valid for. Read them there rather than here: they are the ones that apply to your job.
What happens next
Below the totals there is a short "What happens next" strip: it repeats the timings we work to, so you know that accepting the quote starts a clock we are accountable for.
Accepting it
- Open the quote in your portal.
- Press Accept quote. You can add a note — "please invoice the deposit" is a common one.
- We get notified immediately, send the deposit invoice, and the build starts once it is paid.
If something is not right, press Decline and tell us why. A declined quote is normal and we would rather fix the scope than lose the job.
Tip: A quote says nothing about who owns the result — so we will say it here. Once the project is settled, the code is yours.
